GEMINI COURTS

Gemini Courts is a documentary directed by Philipp Huang that explores the fragile transition from incarceration to freedom. The film follows young men navigating life during and after their time in juvenile detention, confronting the uncertainty that exists on both sides of confinement.

In collaboration with an artist, the boys transform two basketball courts one inside the prison walls and one in a neighborhood outside into powerful visual statements. Through the act of painting, the project becomes more than a creative intervention; it becomes a dialogue between isolation and belonging.

Using art as a bridge, Gemini Courts reflects on identity, second chances, and the attempt to reconnect the world inside with the world beyond the fence.

The film was awarded Best Short at the Blind Walls Film Festival in Breda.
